what to expect?

Sessions run 60-90 mins and include an assessment before and after to see patterns in the body that could use new opportunities. During the session you will be laying on a massage table and the practitioner will be using hands on techniques to manipulate the tissues.
What should i wear?
for females wear shorts made of stretchy material is preferred or underwear that covers up your body to your comfort level. Bras with no t straps preferred so that most of your spine is showing. For males bike shorts or gym shorts and no shirt are preferred. of course wear whatever makes you the most comfortable! I can negotiate around most athletic clothing. the less you wear the easier it is for me to see patterns.
does it hurt?
short answer No! Rolfing shouldn't be a painful experience. however after a session you may experience adaptive discomfort. which is your body adjusting to the new length or space created or the new pattern in movement. it feels kind of like a hard work out at the gym soreness. If you experience any pain or discomfort in a session, pleas communicate that !  I am working at the layer of availability for your body. IF it feels like a 7-10 on a pain scale, or you are holding your breath, this is counter intuitive to the work.
How can rolfing benefit me?
rolfing can relieve chronic pain issues, sometimes even solve those issues for good! It can also help you find balance and support  in your body. Its great for anxiety. Felling safe in your body after a traumatic incident. Its wonderful for Athletes to help your muscular system work at its full potential!
